Good morning! Today is the day that 'Tomorrow' has come. Doesn't that sound a little philosophical? I mean, read it how you want. But in a literal sense, the album formed by Sango and Dave B has dropped and you can listen to it with a click of a button. It was about time these two Seattleites linked up for an album, honestly.
Being a girlfriend to a wonderful guy (shout out to Devynthedoode) that produces music has its perks. I am always introduced to new music constantly, and it isn't your mainstream bs that you hear on the radio. Sorry... Another reason why I love being Devyn's gf is because he truly thinks my opinion on his music is helpful. I'm able to suggest a lil somethin somethin in his work. I am not musically talented whatsoever but I enjoy good music.
Devyn and I went to high school with David Bowman. Who knows if he still remembers us, but hey. Devyn has been bumping his songs since the getgo. Just seeing a young adult come out from the town you're from is very inspiring. So David, if you're reading this; we're stoked about what you're doing and keep it up! On to Sango. One song that reminds me of when Devyn and I first started dating was after a Sango track. Check out Sango ft. SPZRKT (aka Xavier Omar) - Middle of Things, Beautiful Wife (Stwo Remix). Last year we saw him at Pemberton Music Festival and he amazing to watch and listen to.
All right, back to the album, 'Tomorrow'. Seeing two very talented people come together for a collaborative effort makes me really happy. I was able to listen to the album in advanced through NPR. It is such a well put together project I must say. I love how Dave B stepped outside of his normal flow and showed us a different style. I was blown away by this new album. The song, Right Here, is on repeat this morning. Listen to the full album on Apple Music or click here.
Until my next post...
