I met Tori 3 years ago when I decided to move to Seattle from Minnesota. And we met through mutual friends here and our personalities just clicked from the get go.
Originally from Minnesota but moved to the west coast about 3 years ago to pursue my passion in beauty. Went to cosmetology school in WA state and is now a certified cosmetologist, hairstylist, makeup artist, and lash extension specialist. When I'm not beating faces, I'm making tutorials on my YouTube!
1) Skincare is more important than makeup. Because what I learned from working at MAC is no amount of makeup will cover bad skincare.
So be sure to invest in some good moisturizer!
2) Understand your face shape and eye shape. Have you ever tried a makeup look or hairstyle and it never looked exactly like the person? It's cause the world doesn't come in a "one size fits all." Same with makeup and hair. So the more you understand yourself, the easier it is to find out what works best for your face and shape.
3) Be happy and experiment! Makeup is an art, not a mask (Although it can make some bomb AF mask looks). What I mean is that makeup should be used to express yourself. Or even different VERSIONS of yourself. It doesn't change who you are inside as a person.
There's this negative connotation about makeup being "fake" or "a trick for guys" but that's just ridiculous to me. It's an art form, and that art comes in many different shapes and sizes. So feel free to express who YOU are.
